Step 2
Legalize & Prepare Documents
Before applying to Spanish public universities, your Moroccan academic documents must be legally valid for use in Spain. This step is administrative but time-sensitive.
What This Step Includes
- Obtaining official academic documents
- Legalization for international use
- Sworn Spanish translation (if required)
- Preparing correct digital copies for upload
Required Documents
- Baccalauréat diploma
- Baccalauréat final transcript (notes finales)
- University transcripts (if you studied after Bac)
- Valid passport
Some universities may request additional documents. Always verify specific regional requirements.
Step-by-Step Process (Follow This Order)
1. Obtain Official Copies
Request certified academic documents from your school or relevant Moroccan authority. Photocopies are not valid.
2. Legalize the Documents
Your documents must be legalized so they are recognized in Spain. The procedure depends on Moroccan authorities. Start early — processing times can increase before summer.
3. Sworn Spanish Translation (If Required)
If your documents are not in Spanish, you may need an official sworn translation accepted in Spain. Informal translations are not accepted.
4. Prepare Digital Copies
Scan documents clearly as PDF files. Avoid shadows, cut edges, or phone screenshots. Files must be readable when uploaded.
Timeline Estimate
Begin this step at least 2–3 months before application deadlines open. Legalization delays are common between April and July.
Common Mistakes
- Uploading non-legalized documents
- Using unofficial translations
- Waiting for admission results before starting legalization
- Confusing UNEDasiss credential with document legalization
Critical Reminder
This step is not academically difficult. The only real risk is delay. Start early and complete it before submitting your application.
